RLG celebrates again: big airport festival on 9 September 2023

Rostock-Laage, 16 August 2023. Airports fascinate almost everyone: Rostock-Laage Airport invites all residents of the region to an unforgettable day full of exciting activities and fascinating insights into the world of aviation. This year's big airport festival takes place on Saturday, 9 September 2023, from 10am to 5pm.

The event promises a varied programme for visitors of all ages. Throughout the day, guests can expect a time full of fun, entertainment and education, with the opportunity to experience the airport up close and look behind the scenes. Once again, a diverse stage programme awaits, with performances by Loona, Monika Gajek, Pia Rademann and band, and other regional artists.

Those who want to take off from RLG themselves can book sightseeing flights over the airport. For younger visitors there is a children's area with bouncy castles and a carousel, and a food court for hunger and thirst. The terrace café is also open – the perfect place to watch take-offs and landings.

On the apron there is an aircraft exhibition with sightseeing planes, military aircraft and a German Airways Embraer E190 airliner, which also lands and takes off during the event. In the terminal there is an aerospace exhibition, this year even with guided tours. As always, there is the big raffle with valuable main prizes as well as the stands of regional retailers. One of the highlights is an autograph session with footballers from FC Hansa Rostock.

Important for visitors: there will again be a free shuttle, running even more frequently this year. Admission to the airport festival is, of course, free.
