Rostock-Laage, 14 December 2023. The airport's efforts and the wishes of many travellers from Mecklenburg and Berlin have borne fruit: next summer, Condor – Germany's most renowned leisure airline – will come to Rostock-Laage Airport. With the start of the summer schedule at the end of March 2024, the German leisure carrier will connect the airport in northern Germany with Germany's most popular holiday island, Mallorca, twice a week.
Airport Managing Director Dominik Wiehage: "Together with Condor, we expect very strong demand for Mallorca flights next summer and hope the connection will become firmly established. The destination is among the most popular from almost every German airport, and we are delighted to be able to offer our passengers – including those from the Berlin and Hamburg areas – a direct and convenient connection to the Spanish island. The airport will also offer special parking packages for long-stay parkers and families, so that arrival is as stress-free as possible and without long waiting times. Rostock-Laage Airport stands out in particular for its short handling times and family-friendly services."
Flight days on the Rostock-Laage – Palma de Mallorca route are Monday and Friday. The new connection starts at the end of March.
An Airbus A320 will be used for the flights, offering the popular Condor product: alongside the classic Economy Class, Business Class is also bookable, with a free middle seat, additional baggage allowance and free sports equipment. The flights can be booked as part of a package holiday with all tour operators, at travel agencies, or as a flight-only ticket online at www.condor.com.
