Duty Operations Manager / VvD (m/f/d)

Rostock Airport is the largest commercial airport in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. ICAO-certified for traffic in the General Aviation and Aviation segments, we hold a licence for 24-hour operations – ideal for air cargo, express freight and logistics. Our 2,520-metre runway also allows the use of wide-body aircraft.

Alongside handling classic passenger traffic in the charter and scheduled business, the training segment plays a special role. Civil flight schools such as Lufthansa Aviation Training and TopAces, as well as air-based training for air-force units among others, find ideal conditions here for their operations. The development of cargo traffic offers further opportunities for expansion.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Duty Operations Manager / VvD (m/f/d), permanent and full-time, starting as soon as possible.

Your responsibilities

• Ensuring safe, orderly and efficient flight and airport operations in accordance with the relevant legal, operational and safety regulations
• Recording and processing flight requests and movements; keeping the flight log
• Billing of flight movements and airport-side services in flight operations
• Communication with authorities, airlines, external service providers and colleagues on flight-operational and operational matters, as well as conducting briefings and instructions
• Marshalling of aircraft (follow-me) and coordination of aircraft parking positions and gate planning
• Use, monitoring and management of various information systems
• Responsibility for carrying out winter-service tasks
• Raising the alarm and implementing procedures in emergency and special situations
• Release and closure of flight-operation areas

Your profile

• Completed vocational training in aviation
• Relevant professional experience in the operational area at airports or with airlines
• Radiotelephony certificate BZF 1 or AZF; further qualifications such as DGR, Mass & Balance an advantage
• Category B driving licence (mandatory)
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
• Team spirit, motivation, reliability and a sense of responsibility
• Ability to work independently
• Friendly, customer-oriented manner
