INDUSTRIAL ZONE AIRPARK ROSTOCK-LAAGE

What is an airpark?

The airpark Rostock-Laage is the most interesting business and investment location in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

500 ha developed area for industry and trade and within the centre of the airport Rostock-Laage provide ideal conditions for business settlements of all types and for a future logistics hub to Scandinavia, the Baltic states and Southern and Eastern Europe.

LOCATION

The region of the Airpark Rostock-Laage is located at the intersection of the trading routes Hamburg-Stettin and Copenhagen-Berlin. The distance to each of these metropolitan regions is about 200 km. The regional centre Rostock is located 25 km from the industrial sites.

The unique feature of this region is demonstrated by the state-of-the-art infrastructure of the industrial zone. Depending on the exact location of the trade premises, the motorway A19 or the federal highways B103, B108 are in direct vicinity to the airpark Rostock-Laage.

Marine transport of commodities and goods is provided by the sea port Rostock, just 30 km away from the airpark. A railway siding to the major railway connection Berlin-Rostock facilitates the direct connection of the premises by train.

The airport Rostock-Laage, operating 24/7, is the centre of the airpark and is continuously growing both in the passenger and in the freight volume segment.

The interaction of closely related transport options can ensure shortest turnover times. In total, the airpark Rostock-Laage disposes of an area of about 5,000,000 qm, of that 400,000 qm are occupied by company settlements. For this purpose, the northern area of the airpark is provided with several building plans.

Until today, about 15 companies with nearly 800 employees are located here. Sectors include metal processing, automotive and food industry.

Energy supply, district heating and supply & disposal of gas and water are available and can be connected to new settlements on short notice. New settlements do not affect sensitive environmental areas, which will ensure planning reliability and short approval times (3-12 months).
